Demand Management

Most organizations are continuously adopting the best practices to increase demand visibility, which can reduce out of stock situations at shelves and at the same time maintain the right inventory level at warehouses. The ever-growing supply chain is a huge challenge. Besides having multiple SKUs, multiple distribution channels, numerous distribution outlets, offshore partners have added to the complexity thus making it impossible for the human mind to come up with the optimal figures. Prices, promotion plans, deals, and new product launches offered at different outlets are different from time to time. In addition, it is becoming increasingly difficult to understand the market conditions and customer traits, which heavily influence buying decisions of end customers.

RetailDriver™ Demand Management offers the following features:

  • Category Performance & Potential Analysis
  • Collaborative Category and Account Planning
  • Collaborative Account Review and Joint Goal Setting w/ Retailer
  • Product Mix Planning and Tracking by Segments/Markets
  • Marketing Planning, Modeling and Tracking (Trade Promotions, Advertising/Consumer Promotions)
  • New Product Launch Planning and Tracking
  • Overall Demand Planning, Modeling and Tracking (Baseline, Seasonality, Marketing and New Products)

RetailDriver™ Demand Management helps users to develop a forecast plan using state of the art analytic, planning and forecasting tools, to identify the underlying sales trend. Given the continual growth of product trends and the need to forecast at the store, The forecasting tool is uniquely positioned to give suppliers the best possible view of customer demand at the individual store level. In addition, users can measure the accuracy of forecasts by plotting actual sales achieved against the level of forecasted sales.

It also allows user to run cluster analysis on historical data to understand the various segments and market patterns of a new product or in a new store based on traits. This helps in developing right stocking levels based on Store traits, and ensures that the inventory is "right-sized."

RetailDriver™ Demand Management lets users to plan a new product launch and calculates the risk associated with it. The application will compare the Sales Plan against prior to new product launch sales and sales ramp-up; and quantify the level of inventory risk inherent in the plan. It also helps evaluating the launch plans with actual performance for users and the management and feeds that into the next set of new product launches.

It also allows users to share critical information such as forecasts, promotional activities, stocking levels, and merchandise plans with other entities in the extended supply chain using a collaborative, process-driven platform. It enables users to share forecasts with key partners in the value chain and to view and make adjustments to the replenishment plans. The access provided is role-based and all collaborative stakeholders can view and adjust data designed just for their products and geographies.
